VOIP Stun Server NO_TRAFFIC:SINGLE
-
Hello,
I am currently trying to setup my local PBX. I followed the guide from the documentation on how to setup pfsense with a local pbx https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/recipes/nat-voip-pbx.html
When the pbx tries to connect to the stun server I get NO_TRAFFIC:SINGLE with the port 3478. I don't have any rules which blocks traffic from my LAN to the internet.
I setup the port forwards. Then I set the hybrid outbound NAT and configured a new rule with static port (checked)
And then I reset all the states but the PBX still can't connect to the STUN server.
Does anyone have an idea?
If you need more information just let me know!

@voipconfusion you might have to hard code forward port 5060 to your pbx
you may want to check out this knowledge page
https://www.3cx.com/blog/voip-howto/stun-voip-1/
it has some useful info.We ended up using siproxd to "rewrite" the header so the public ip address worked without the use of the stun server.
https://siproxd.sourceforge.io/Don't use the one built into pfsense if you have a phone outside the firewall using VPN as it won't know how to distinguish between the pbx and the phone when making/recieving calls.

@kruglerd Do you mean by hardcode a 1:1 NAT?
Currently I have forwarded all of the ports: 5060+5061 and RTP range from 31000:32000
I have tried it with a fritzbox which forwards all the ports to the pfsense and I have tried a modem and setup pppoe on the pfsense. Both connections type I received the same error
