Hello team i always notice i fail to login to gmail in my pfsense but if i use a vpn connection i am able to login to gmail, i dont know if anyone has come across this in pfsense?
when i restart the firewall then i will be able to login to gmail.
any way out of this problem coz i don't want to be restarting my firewall all the time.

Nothing pfSense will do by default would do that.

How does it fail? What error is shown?

        Are you running any packages?

        Steve

hello how this fails is when you have logged out of gmail and need to login, you click your email account and does not load to take you to the next step like to put your password and neither does it show and error a click on the email account does not respond then when you reboot the fw it works again.

            Are you running any packages?

Does it do that on all hosts?

            In all browsers?

some packages which are there are snort, squid, ntopng, arpwatch. lightsquid, this happens on all browsers and all host when gmail gets stuck while i can browse any other thing on the internet. under NAT outbound the option was Hybrid, so before the previous response it had again got stuck and i changed the NAT outbound options from hybrid to Auto and gmail accepted to load

Ok, so Snort or Squid could both cause this The first thing I would do is try disabling either (or both) and see if that prevents it.
Also check the logs of both for blocked traffic when it happens.
