But in general I would expect an Intel PRO/1000PT NIC to work well.

Almost any Intel based Gigabit NIC will work fine.
The only one I know for sure will work, because I have it here and have tested it myself, is this:

Well obviously I'm biased.
I would always choose the 4100 there.
What is your WAN connection speed at that location?

@stephenw10 jeje I know, in my location i've got two wan connection, 10Mb (download)/1Mb(upload) each one. I think the 4100 is enough for a small business office, 2 Ricoh printers, 2 Ubiquiti Nano AP, 20 workstations, someones via LAN anothers by WLAN.
The traffic is to a bank's site mainly and Gmail/Outlook via Web browser.
Ocasionally for listen/watch a video in youtube.I was planning using a multi-wan configuration, the load balancing and failover, pfblocker, maybe a squid proxy for caching? I was thinking use too CoDel because I've a low upload bandwith. Maybe some trafic shaper rules for ip based.
My first idea was use a custom hardware but I'm a nob
, maybe the 4100 can be a good option for my context.What do you think? Is the 4100 a good option?

Yes, the 4100 would no problem at all with that sort of bandwidth. You could do whatever you want with that.
