Re-installing pfSense Plus Home in same equipment needs new token
-
Hi pfSense,
I wonder if we could use the token we have uesd before or we had to "purchase" a new token every time we re-install pfSense Plus Home in the exactly same equipment.
I tried to use the old one, but nothing happened to 2.6.0 CE.
Thank you.

The server side will recognize that the NID of that device is already registered and will offer you the upgrade again on the same hardware should you reinstall in the future.
There is a timing issue maybe if you do that immediately after first attempting an upgrade but it's rare that is a problem in practice, and if it is, TAC can get it cleared up.

I re-installed pfSense on a different Lab system so that I could have more NICs.
Problem is now that it took my restore perfectly and I was up and running quick, I can't use my old token to upgrade to pfSense PLUS.I can't paste the token into the Activation box. I get...
Your device does not require registration, we recognize it already. You may have already registered, or it may be a pre-registered Netgate appliance.
Register pfSenseGuessing there is a simple solution but kinda stuck here.
