hello fellas How is everyone doing according to the title's statistics? I have a problem, or I believe I have a problem. I just need someone more experienced. The problem is that I can't connect to Red Dead Online at all, and my wife is getting on my case about it because I don't know how to fix it. I believe it is related to the Rockstar Launcher more than anything else. I do have Spectrum Internet. But what I have tried so far is to connect directly to the modem itself, and I was able to access Rockstar's sign-in and everything. Also, my PKT Electrum PKT Wallet isn't connecting as well either. I also spoke with Chater, who stated that there is no additional NAT or anything because it is a modem, not a router and modem. I'm going to explain my setup so it's easy to understand and give you all as much information on it as possible. My modem is a Motorola TM1602A MTA, my PFSense box is a Dell Optiplex 3010 with an Intel Dell X3959 Dual Port Gigabit Network Card and 8GB of RAM, and my switch is an HPE Office Connect 1420 8-port switch with no PoE. The WAP is a TP-Link Archer AX3000 in access point mode. What setting have I changed in the PFSense box for WAN? I turned off blocking of private networks and loopback addresses, as well as blocking of bogus networks. changed the DNS to Cloudflare. I have about 7 or 8 port-forwarding things running. I have a 1:1 going for my mystery node; my outbound NAT is hybrid; oh, and I turned on upnp and nat-pmp.

What error do you see when this happens? The same error on everything that fails?

There is no need to disable blocking private networks on WAN when your WAN is connected directly to a modem like that.

@stephenw10 I thought I had to since I was using a 10.x.xx.x internal IP for the GUI. I should turn this back on now or what? This one should be blocked on private networks and loopback addresses. what about this? Block bogon networks? on or off

You would only need to do that if you are both using a private WAN subnet (LAN doesn't matter) and you have clients on the WAN side trying to access it.

Since you have a modem dircetly your WAN subnet should be public and you can have clients there since you can only have one device connected.

You should be able to leave both those block rules enabled, yes.

The only thing it would affect are port forwards. That traffic can never be from a private IP so could only ever affect something that was coming from an IP in bogon list. If, for example, the list became out of date and some legitimate client started using an address it contained. Unlikely for IPv4 addresses.
