      Hi,

i have a problem with this system. It has realtek-nics…
From what i read it should easily be capable of GBit-routing - there are some threads here and on reddit that confirm it.
But for me it doesn't work. I get max 350-400 MBit. I turned off all offloading in the GUI, rebooted pfsense, but that didn't change anything.

Where/How could i start to troubleshoot? In the system logs i see nothing that indicates any related problems.

I tested to install pfsense (newest stable release) as a VM in a Hyper-V-Hypervisor, (same system) gave the VM just 256 MB RAM and already reached 500 MBit. Adding another 256 MB RAM didnt change anything though. In the system is a 32 GB SSD.

Do you have some ideas for me?

      Thank you...

I would be interested, as well.

I got the ZBOX-CI321NANO-U-W2B on Amazon. An open-box unit at $112.29, it was a steal. I had the RAM from a MacBook Pro that got upgraded and had a 32 GB SSD lying around.

I almost didn’t purchase it, because people elsewhere gave me the impression that for high throughput you really want an Intel NIC chipset.

          You've got 4 options:

          1. install realtek's driver

          2. buy a new NIC

          3. buy a new machine

          4. install a different OS
