      I'm having trouble with one of my offsite pfSense devices. When there is a power outage the system powers back on but the users state that they have to power cycle the pfSense box to get the Internet to work again.

      The box is one of those no-name brand mini Pc things with 4 ports on them. It has a nvme drive as it's only drive.

      I notice in dmesg that there are these errors:

      ZFS filesystem version: 5

        da0 is not nvme. It's usually a USB drive which lines up with this:

        umass0: <USB Storage USB Storage, class 0/0, rev 2.00/14.04, addr 1> on usbus0
        (probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): REPORT LUNS. CDB: a0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00
        (probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): CAM status: SCSI Status Error
        (probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): SCSI status: Check Condition
        (probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): SCSI sense: NOT READY asc:3a,0 (Medium not present)
        (probe0:umass-sim0:0:0:0): Error 6, Unretryable error

        What is that USB connected storage device? Should it be there?

          @stephenw10

          I don’t have anything plugged into any USB port on that box. That is what is confusing me.

            Have you opened the case up to see if there's anything internal?

              It could potentially also be USB connected internal storage such as eMMC that isn't removable. Or something like a cell modem that has some storage.

                @rcoleman-netgate I am running the community edition so as far as I am aware, I cannot open a support case.

                  You can't open a support ticket without a subscription, that's true.
