      Bump, as I still don't know what's causing the error.

          Starting ntopng service errors out with.

          Assertion failed: (prefix->bitlen <= patricia->maxbits), function ndpi_patricia_lookup, file third_party/src/ndpi_patricia.c, line 646.

                Has anyone pinpointed what the cause is? I'm having similar problems. nothing useful in the logs. Just seems to run fine for an arbitrary amount of time then coredump. I'm starting to suspect if its a ram issue.

                5.0.220113 [Community/Embedded build]

                watching the logs with trace enabled I can't seem to see anything useful being logged right before a reported coredump..

                  @bstriker Nope, I've since removed it. I have yet to see a fix for it.

                      It is painful if more and more people are getting this issue. I'm affected, too.

                        @motivio Truthfully I have no idea what's going on. I uninstalled it for a time and then reinstalled it to see if it works and it does seem to be working.
                        Maybe go to NTopNG settings and uncheck "Keep ntopng settings, graphs and traffic data.", save, remove the package, reboot then try to re-install it because I have no idea why mine started to work again.

                          I have fixed the issue for myself by not using the package manager in pfsense, but rather installing directly on the pfsense shell. You can follow this documentation:

                          https://www.ntop.org/guides/ntopng/third_party_integrations/pfsense.html

                          My ntopng has been up for 76 days now

                              Here's some irony, it was working, now I'm getting a core dump again, joy!
                              Tried the how to, yea, I'll skip that.
