I have used failover with 4G connection for a good while and it has been working great. After I updated from 2.6 CE to 22.05+ it just stopped working. I have two interfaces, WAN and WAN2 (later one is secondary 4G connection) and I think the problem is, WAN state never goes "offline" when I unplug WAN cable (and thus, default gateway never changes to WAN2):

In Gateway Groups it say "Gathering data" but nothing happens even if I wait for hours:

Anyone idea why WAN gateway doesn't go offline? When I plug the WAN cable back, it right away goes to online:

Trigger level is Member Down, but makes no difference if I choose "Packet loss or high latency". Here are all the settings:

OK, and what is the hardware? No need for a graphic, just the model of the NIC or the driver set it is using is suffcient.

I had a lot of trouble with the Qotom's I bought in the mid-2010s with them recognizing physical down interfaces. This was a driver issue - I suspect the same situation is happening here.

When you disconnect ix0 (or whatever your WAN1 is) what is seen in the Interfaces page? (Status->Interfaces)

That would make sense. Tried disconnecting WAN from igc0 and status was "no carrier" when I think it should be "down".
