            Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
            When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

              @steveits every time I go into the bootloader and I have a USB device attached it never boots properly it just boots into PF sense

                  @somerandomguyontheinternet Then it’s probably not a bootable USB.

                    @somerandomguyontheinternet Your laptop bios boot settings are not set to boot first from your desired operating system disk. Or the disk you want to boot from is no longer a bootable disk

                      @patch if you couldn't tell that my BIOS allows me to choose which device to boot off of then now you know so basically what I'm trying to say is every time I try to boot off of a USB drive it randomly boots PF sense instead

                        @steveits I tried multiple USB drives not even my phone could detect any of them I even used a CD-ROM of Windows 95 I didn't even make the wrong because it was an official ROM from the manufacturers themselves

                          @steveits also if I didn't mention it clearly enough even though I clearly did I'm trying to install Windows 95 because I have the compatibility module on my BIOS but every time I tried to boot it it shows up unlike every other USB drive I've tried but when I click on it it always says C drive is disc 0 but it boots into PF sense instead and I don't know why

                            @somerandomguyontheinternet Choices

                            • Bios setting error
                            • Broken hardware

                            Imo a bios setting error is mostly likely such as secure boot to UEFI when it is not supported by your hardware / boot medium. Which will force the bios to only boot to the more recent boot image
