      Hello,

I have read all over and cannot pinpoint where I saw this but I believe it was along the lines of Xeon D-1537 and Xeon D-1541 supporting QaT cards (likely due to the netgate appliances with same cpu?)....

I was wondering if I would be able to as a I was one of the people who didnt want to hate and rolled with the option to upgrade to pfsense+ as I am just homelab/recreation..
That is, I just got a X10SDV-4C-TLN2F and I am going to run bare metal although I might not have to anymore (came from a C2758 which was great, I just have multiple nodes that have 10gb lagg connections now.. and I want to be able to run close to wirespeed openvpn at AES-256-GCM/CBC SHA512, i prefer not aes-128-gcm like I had to with the weako C2758 to get 300-350mb/s openvpn.

tldr can x10sdv d-1521 running baremetal pfsense+ use a crypto qat card such as 8950 or 8960 ?
QaT is quite spectacular and even though the C2758 was a weak little plebian,
i would very much like to feel the efffects of a more powerful card on a more powerful system
let me know if this is possible

      also,
is the d-1518 superior to the 1521 for special instructions or so to say that make it more efficient with networking?

thanks you for your time as always

Crypto hardware like that is not restricted by the CPU in the system it runs on. If the card can be installed I would expect it to run fine. It will work in pfSense as long as the QAT driver supports it.

OpenVPN can only be accelerated by it in DCO mode. Currently.
