What packages are ready/comes along with 23.01?
-
I’m running a few boxes with a lot of packages for various needs/reasons.
Is there a list somewhere of packages that have been upgraded/validated to work with 23.01, or is this just an trial an error scenario?
I’m thinking packages like Notes (PHP issues perhaps?), Syslog-ng, lldpd, tfpd might not have a huge userbase, so the RC phase may not show a lot of usecases with these (if they are even available)?

I'm using "Notes" on my "23.01.r.20230208.0600" ;)
I didn't install every available pfSense package, just these :and they all work fine for me.
That is, my pfSense behaves just fine, no awkward GUI issues, or unknown log lines.
No network issues. The captive portal - and the users using it - do well.
OpenVPN server works fine . OpenVPN client (to a VPN ISP) works fine.No big issues like 'no more UDP and ICMP' over the captive portal.
Or individual pipes not created for the connected for portal users.
These two were introduced after pfSense replaced ipfw for pf, which was a big rework, the pf core code (is also core to FreeBSD !) as rewriiten for pfSense so it could handle MACs.And then there is this :

We've tried to catch most things and fix them already, but there may be some more rare/lingering issues that we haven't been able to replicate here.
When in doubt, look at the open issues for packages and see if there are any recent ones for packages you are interested in.
