Netgate 6100: 23.01 RC to 23.01 repository problem

Hi,
I have a problem in upgrading a Netgate 6100 from version 23.01 RC (perfectly working) to a 23.01 STABLE.
The WAN is OK.. but there is a problem in the repositories:
pkg-static update

@luca-de-andreis there are numerous reports that might indicate some connectivity issues with the netgate update servers .... maybe a bit overloaded.
might be a good idea to wait a few hours/days

@luca-de-andreis said in Netgate 6100: 23.01 RC to 23.01 repository problem:
SELF SOLVED. Manually modify pfsense repository file. pkg update.
ALL OK!
Hi, I'm facing the same problem, can you tell which file you edited? Thanks!
-
@fidget Self-solved as well. For anyone looking for it, it is
/usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/pfSense.conf
.FYI, editing the paths did not solve my issue unfortunately.
Still getting:
[23.01-RELEASE][root@pfsense]/: pkg-static -d update pkg-static: https://pfsense-plus-pkg01.atx.netgate.com/pkg/pfSense_plus-v23_01_amd64-pfSense_plus_v23_01/packagesite.txz: Bad Request Unable to update repository pfSense Error updating repositories!

@fidget Solved the issue by re-registering to pfSense Plus and copying the new activation code.
I think this happened because I previously changed the hostname and activation keys must be tied to hostnames somehow...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
@fidget how did you reapply the token? Because in my case Pfsense is not letting me and displaying this message: Your device does not require registration, we recognize it already. You may have already registered, or it may be a pre-registered Netgate appliance.
-
@fidget I solved it by removing the https, it is just http. thanks for pointing out the file path. Appreciated.
-
Ok so here is what happened. After I removed the https protocol the repository updated. However, when I tried to install the package, pfsense automatically updated the pfsense.config file. So this issue is still there.
