      How can I download pfSense version 22.05 to restore my router?
      I have been running on 22.05 for over 4 months at home and at the office. I thought I'd try 23.01 at home on the Dell Optiplex 3060, so I made a backup of 22.05 and did the update 40 min ago. The installation seemed to go well, but the system only booted with 10 lines of information and froze. I was able to boot from the second kernel source at the boot menu, but it automatically did the upgrade which failed.
      I have a USB stick with 2.6.0, so I booted the Dell with that, and it came up fine as a new default installation. I restored from the backup 22.05 XML backup, and most of it stuck, except for the freeRADIUS installation, which was removed automatically.
      I am currently running on 2.6.0, but I want to upgrade to 22.05, not 23.01. Is this possible?

        22.05 is pfSense Plus.
        This is the way to get it :
        Reinstalling pfSense Plus Software

        After a request, you'll receive instrcution pretty fast.

        Btw : pfSense 2.6.0 is "CE" - and can be downloaded from here. It's still shwoing "2.6.0", that will soon change to 2.7.0 I guess.

        Edit : and where are the logs ??

          @gregbinsd is this a netgate appliance? I do not believe there is install media for + for non netgate hardware. I believe you have to install the CE version and then upgrade it to +

          I am not clear on all the ins and outs of this sort of setup. Now that 23.01 is out, not sure you can upgrade to 22.05 from CE - maybe you can only go to current + version?

          If its netgate appliance then as @Gertjan said its as easy as requesting the media from tac.

          https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/install/migrate-to-plus.html#migrate-from-pfsense-ce-software-to-netgate-pfsense-plus-software

          Once you have gotten your token and you select your + branch does it list say 22.05 and 23.01 ?

          If it takes you to 22.01, then it might be possible to update to 22.05 from there?

            @Gertjan
            @johnpoz
            Thank you both for the good information and encouragement.
            I was able to successfully update my way back to 22.05!
            Johnpoz, your graphical description helped me go to: System/Update/System Update/Branch/pfSense Plus Upgrade where I was indeed able to upgrade from pfSense 2.6.0 CE to pfSense Plus version 22.01
            After that upgrade completed, I was able to update to 22.05 like you suggested:

            fc917bd1-4f79-43c6-8e15-3b4c6694b662-image.png

            I selected the PREVIOUS version, it was as simple as that.
            After running on 22.05 for a few minutes, I performed a restore by picking the XML file that I had made just prior to attempting to update to 23.01 three days ago.

            pfSense and my freeRADIUS setup are now completely restored.

            For now, I will sit back and read the Installation topics as they relate to 23.01 and decide when to make the leap.

            BTW, pfSense is running on Dell Optiplex 3060 SFF both at home and at work.

            Thanks again, you two!
