How can I physically connect two wans to a netgate 1100 since there is just one wan port? Can I put both wans into a switch and connect that to the wan port?

@SteveITS thanks for the response. I got it working by following those instructions. I had some issues though. I'll describe them here in case it helps someone else.
Sometimes when I configured the opt as a WAN, my pfsense web api would stop responding and sometimes I'd lose internet connection. It even caused my ubiquity access points to crash and I couldn't even see my SSID. I found that rebooting the netgate 1100 fixes these issues and I could proceed to set up the second WAN as a gateway.
When my web interface went down, I restarted my 1100 by unplugging it. This really broke things. I was getting "Panic String: ufs_dirbad: /: bad dir ino 3611520 at offset 1024: mangled entry" on boot.
I connected to the device over usb using putty (I had to use a windows 10 machine since the drivers didn't work on my pc that I upgraded to windows 11), entered single user mode and ran /sbin/fsck -y -t ufs / and rebooted several times until the error was corrected. Luckily I didn't lose my config settings so I didn't have to worry about restoring.
To sum up, I found that after enabling the OPT interface in DHCP mode, I needed to reboot the netgate 1100. Don't reboot by pulling the power.

@danwize Strange about setting up OPT1. It shouldn't affect other interfaces. Couldn't see the SSID in your laptop/phone? That should be unrelated to pfSense at all...
re: power plug, yeah, there's always a small chance of damage, on any device with a file system. Often it is fine, sometimes not. Windows will run a file system check on boot if it detects a dirty shutdown. If you reinstall which will get you ZFS (and restore from backup) that is much more resilient.

I think whatever went wrong with pfsense caused my ubiquity access points to crash which is why I couldn't see the SSID. Once I restored pf sense, and restarted my ubiquity devices, I could see the SSID again.
