      I've been using pfSense about 2 years now but recently picked up a Brocade ICX6610 off eBay to expand my homelab. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if I bought a defective switch.

      I set the switch up, following fohdeesha's basic and advanced setup guides. I even ran through them twice to make sure the firmware wasn't downloaded/flashed incorrectly. I saw no errors.

      Things I've tried so far:

      • ruled out duplicate IP
      • sent 10k pings to the switch to rule out cabling issues and possibly also asymmetric routing
      • changed "Firewall Maximum States" from default 796,000 to 2,000,000
