DHCPV6 leases Dissappear
-
Has anyone seen where the leases on the DHCPV6 status page will just disappear (and not after their lease expiration)? It seems after the DHCPV6 service is running for a long time leases will just refuse to show on the status page, the DHCPV6 service is still working but I can't see any of the leases unless I restart the service and then they'll show up.

It appears this happens after about 2-3 days of runtime. Typically several devices that I know are offline and gone will still show as online in the status menu, once this happens its typically a few hours away from not showing any devices in the leases menu. Ipv6 will still function and all devices are still moving data, so it appears to just be a glitch/issue with the web interface.

Does the entire page fail to render or just certain leases are missing?
It parses the lease database file to get the data for the page. It's possible that over time some record in the file is tripping up the parser, or that the file is growing too large for it to parse properly. When the daemon restarts it cleans up the leases file so it would return to a manageable size, for example.

@jimp
The actual page loads perfectly fine, no issues, it just that no leases will appear on the page. I can have several ipv6 devices online that obtained a lease but won't populate in the page until I restart the daemon. -
You might compare the content in
/var/dhcpd/var/db/dhcpd6.leases
when it works and when it doesn't. See if maybe there is a particular lease present when it fails to parse, or check the file size when it works vs when it doesn't.
