      Hi,
I am about to buy Netgate 6100 MAX hardware, but I want to know if it works with open source community edition (CE) version of pfsense?

@antanas I'm not an absolute reference, but my understanding is pfSense CE is <= pfSense "plus", so I think the answer is "yes", but then I would ask "why?"

@mer I want to run open source software and not a closed one.

I would expect it to install and run fine but you would be missing some of the hardware support. So at least the LEDs and reset buttons would not function. That would also mean the firmware updater for BlinkBoot would not be available should there be an update.
It's not something I've tried though because it's not supported. I can do if it's something you need.
