apcupsd - dashboard widget configuration

pfsense+ 23.01, SG-1100 connected to apc UPS.
I have for the first time given the apcupsd package a try, and for the most part, it seems to be working.

But a quirk, and looking for any advice. I have the apcupsd dashboard widget "as installed", and it seems to be working. But out of curiosity, I tried to change the widget's settings, to display temperature in C only. But on saving, although I got C only, the widget's display of a 100% charged battery went from green to red. I looked at the system config file, and saw the changes as follows, which to my eye seem to contain many bogus entries.

I have since reverted to a previous config, and all seems fine. My question is, might I have a stumbled on a widget bug?
