VM setup
-
I manage a SOHO network with about a dozen computers in two different sites plus a few users. All workgroup shares are running off a dedicated FreeNAS box. I would like to implement SSO for this network.
Based on my reading, it looks like the proper setup would be to
-
Install vSphere on a decent barebones computer with two Intel NICs
-
Install pfSense as a VM for the firewall
-
Install Samba as a VM for netlogon services
Do I have this right? Your thoughts?

That's a generic configuration for a generic use case. You should be fine unless you have some other unlisted requirements.

Thanks. I realize that, but being new to virtualization, I wanted to be sure that I have the right overall concept.
