GUI unresponsive and NG2100 stuck updating square slowly flashing orange 2+ hrs

Hello Everyone! This is my first post in the community,
. I'm excited to be here.I can no longer access my GUI; the square update light has been blinking orange for quite a while now. I am able to access the firewall through the console port, and everything appears normal. Hopefully, what I did to troubleshoot hasn't messed anything up.
So, I tried a normal reboot with option 5, which worked. Everything appeared normal in the terminal, but the GUI still didn't return, and the light is still flashing after the reboot.
I found this page in the documentation Troubleshooting Upgrades and attempted some of the recommended CLI arguments within the shell.
I attempted the following. Any recommendations to fix this is much appreciated! I just got the firewall recently and am a bit frustrated with this issue with a brand new product. I am planning on going out of town for a few months and want to make sure I have remote access to my network. Should I disable automatic updates once I have a stable setup?

@rcoleman-netgate I left it overnight and now everything is all good. I'm able to get back into the GUI. However, I'm not seeing any available packages in the package manager. Did I break something with all my attempts? How can I fix this issue? I don't really want to do a reset with an image as I haven't backed up my config.
I found this netgate forum post discussing the below issue with the
pkgcommand.[23.01-RELEASE][root@pfSense.home.arpa]/root: pkg update ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/sbin/pkg: Undefined symbol "__libc_start1@FBSD_1.7" [23.01-RELEASE][root@pfSense.home.arpa]/root:Does this have something to do with the certificate verification when fetching the package manager updates?
