High-Availability Issues
-
Hello,
I have attempted to install high-availability onto an existing 7100-1U unit by purchasing a second unit.
The router on location only has one port so the WAN required splitting using a switch. This seemed to create issues (it was a layer 2 managed switch).
Would this type of install work fine with a simple dumb switch to route the WAN to each firewall? I'm aware it will create a single point of failure but it's fairly unavoidable at this point. On the previous attempt the Internet or WIFI would regularly drop and any fault finding was pointless as the same actions would result in different faults. Any advice there would also be greatly appreciated.
TIA

@james92 Yes a dumb switch is fine.
