Quirky bypass on 22.05 with AT&T fiber

Hi folks,
I use AT&T fiber and upgraded my pfsense to 22.05 with no issues a few days ago. I followed Netgate's guide to bypass AT&T's authentication by connecting my residential gateway (BGW210) as a modem and everything works, but there's a few quirks I can't figure out.

Upon boot, "configuring WAN interface" now takes ~75 seconds. Before I setup the bypass, it only took a few moments. I don't see any timeout message in my boot or sys logs.

The "broadband" indicator on my residential gateway flashes green while pfsense is booting, but once bootup is complete it persistently flashes red now. I am getting an IP from the ISP and I have full connectivity up and down. The service is actually a bit faster with lower latency, but the residential gateway seems to think everything is down. I can't help but wonder if it's related to the extended WAN configuration during boot. It's no longer directly connected to the ONT, so maybe its taking the breakup hard. Still, I appreciate any ideas on why the broadband indicator wouldn't become static green once PFSense is up (like it used to when directly connected to the ONT).
Again, everything is technically working. There's just a few oddities that I would like to better understand, if not resolve. Thanks for any insight!

@stephenw10 Ahh, yes I meant 23.05, good catch.
I did see that thread when I was first googling around the issues, but I wasn't aware that was where the cool kids hung out. I'll go poke around over there. Thanks!

Yup, if anyone can tell you what the expected behaviour of the AT&T router is it's the guys in that thread.
