That backtrace doesn't look familiar, but you are also using some extremely old hardware there, so it's possible those drivers have issues since they rarely get used these days. For example it looks like you have a
dc
10/100 interface which is what it's configuring when it crashes. -
Same identical crash each time so it's almost certainly a software bug. But, yeah, even I don't have any dc(4) NICs. I do have alc(4) and fxp(4) NICs running 23.05 no problem though so I'd say it's almost certainly a problem in the dc(4) driver.

has been working flawlessly for over a decadehad a feeling this day would come eventually when things start failing i'll let you know if replacing the card gets it going again
thanks again for the help

Yeah I can't see any open FreeBSD bugs for that but the user base has got to be small at this point.
Older 1G Intel NICs are cheap and reliable. Especially if you get something OEM rebranded:

well the good news is changing that problem card solved the problem running 23.01 atm had zfs saved snapshot so could test it quickly
now my license does not work anymore so can't upgrade to 23.05 like yay think i'll move my shit over to something else
just by changing 1 network card license is void
this just plain sucks :( -
@Jarei The NDI changes with any hardware change. If you're a home/lab user just request another free Plus license.
-
Send me your new NDI in chat and the old one (if you have it) and I'll update it.

this just plain sucks :(Are you seriously complaining about a free license that didn't cost you a single dime? Feel free to "move your ****" to another firewall platform.
