If you want to move fast and break things, you can always run dev snapshots.

Though they are quite stable at the moment so not a ton of risk involved.

Until pfSense 2.7 is still in developement,

All the peoples buying hardware from Netgate
should be getting at last a version, and CE is
then the first for all other users, makes for
            me not really sense.

a lot of are gone to opnsense.

For sure they can do so. Why not? I run here
23.05 Release, 2.7 Devel, OpenWRT on a Turris Omnia WiFi 6E machine and a MikroTik
            RouterOS.

What you thing when OPNSense will be starting to swap over to FreeBSD 14.0 and PHP 8.2 let us
imagine? And what time this will be needing then
            there?

Very slow, petty, but that is the reallity

Hmm, I was upgrading yesterday in the morning and in the evening once my 2.7 Devel machine!
And today in the evening too! From 90+ open
"things" (features, bugs,...) down to 80+ and
now around 60 was a hard work as I see it.

            pfsense 2.7devel latest.jpg

So they are working on it much more then you may be thinking of, could this be?

Don´t get me wrong here, I am not sorted with
good English language skills and so here and there something may be sounding strange or rouge, but isn´t meant in that direction.

If you want 2.7 quicker run the dev snapshot and report bugs.

Or report there are no bugs and it's ready to go for your config.

                      Both are helpful.
