@JonathanLee Same here. I didn't do any prep, just hit the button, the wheels and cogs whirled for a few minutes and up it came again. Nice.

All happened whilst I put the dog in his cage for bedtime.

        ☕️

It also worked on my own Netgate 1100 ... although it took a while for the WebGUI to come up after the reboot.
          Thanks at all the devs!

That's normal for most releases, allow 10-15 minutes, or more if you didn't uninstall packages first.

(I haven't upgraded any yet so can't help you @xgiovio)

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

There is no valid package for amd64 for 23.05.1
Can someone link a valid repo with amd64 packages for pfsense 23.05.1?

@xgiovio I would open a TAC ticket to get fresh firmware at this point. You must be missing the SSL information. Pkg key information is with the firmware when you purchased your official Netgate appliance. I can't provide mine. But something is corrupted on your side. I am sorry just back it up and reload it from the USB drive.

I have a smooth update also, This is my first update since getting IPv6 running on my AT&T services with PD and getting PD offset for the VLANs. Was very worried that our friends at AT&T would re-assign the /60 range that I have been using to something new when the router requested PD from the residential gateway. Been on the same IPv4 address for over 10 years now and good to see IPv6 follows the same rules in the RG.

A no drama in-place update to 23.05.1 on a 2100 this morning. The pfb_filter service took a long time to start (maybe 5 minutes), so once the router was completely up I rebooted again via the console. Same pause but it came back up and all appears to be working just fine.

Thank you to all the devs and support for a very calm upgrade experience.

Smooth in-place update via the GUI from 23.05 on third-party hardware. Took < 5 minutes.

Left the two packages that I use -- apcupsd and Wireguard -- installed during the upgrade.

am not abble to install the new version. Apperent problem with uppdating the repository. I run this command: pkg-static -d update but I get this response:

Likely due to either 1) an expired CE->Plus token or 2) broken authorizing certificate

Go to https://go.netgate.com/ and open a ticket about this. Copy/paste the results you have above into the body of the ticket.

                                      Hi,
                                      Thank you for fast response.
The previous error was rapresented on my testing instance of pfsense+ 23.05. Now I upgrade my production from 23.01 to 23.05.1 directly and it works. In the test istance of pfsense I definitely have sam sort of configuration mismatch.

                                      Sincerely yours,
                                      User - bavcon22

I would also make sure it's pfSense Plus token is current and valid. You can check the status of the token by going to System > Register

@rcoleman-netgate I will check, but with testing istance of pfsense I have problem with github.io repositories, too. There I also have snort with "over configured" its configuration.
