Where is my QAT kernel module after upgrading to 2.7? (Hardware cryptographic accelerator)

In version 2.6, I loaded the QAT module (qat.ko) when booting through the /boot/loader.conf.local file. Now it just doesn't exist in /boot/kernel folder

@sine_x Yeah, looks like the QAT module was removed from 2.7.0. You can still build it on another machine and copy it over, though; seems to work fine for me.

@stephenw10 Right, the GUI integration certainly is, which is why he has to rely on loader.conf.local. But functionally all the integration does is load the module.

Very strange and, in my opinion, incorrect to exclude from the Community Edition what is being developed by the community.
It seems that in order to sleep tight, one needs to use native FreeBSD, otherwise, it's like walking through a minefield—you never know what they will exclude or what restrictions the GUI developers will impose in the next update. -
The QAT GUI components were always Plus only. They were never included in CE.

@stephenw10 Agreed, but previously the QAT module itself was shipped as part of CE.
