    i am watching youtube tutorials on installing/setting up pf sense.

    I connected my the ethernet cable for internet on the COM port and i also tried the ETH0 port. I am still not getting the ip address on the LAN

    The ip address for pfsense shows up under WAN or it doesnt show anything at all . Please help!!

        @yoyoSE156d the lan IP would be static - that it defaults to 192.168.1.1 which you could change to what you want.

        COM port is a console port.. It wouldn't be used for wan or lan or any other network.
