Noticed my pfsense box running warm this morning. Logged in and noticed:

      489 root 1 155 20 13M 2912K CPU1 1 116.9H 99.58% check_reload_status

      Everything has been stable/quiet otherwise.

@digitalgimpus said in check_reload_status hanging with 100% CPU load:

            116.9H

Any idea what happened 116.9hrs ago to trigger it?

Nothing in particular. Mostly in "set it and forget it" mode post upgrade.

Anything in the logs at that time?

You can likely kill that process and see if it returns.

Nothing in the logs that stands out. I ended up rebooting things and everything is running fine so far.
