I am trying to connect to my Netgate 3100 through console, I have USB cable connected to the console. I am using Putty to connect but it can't find either COM1-4, it works fine on Windows 10. Where do I find the name of the ports or is there a different method to connect on Windows 11?

Does it find the new USB device when you connect the cable? Does it appear to install the driver correctly?

@robato The port name is shown in Device Manager as a serial/COM port. It can be any number, seems to increase with each router.

Tip: plug the USB cable into a different port on your PC as that can trigger Windows to redetect it.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
