      Hello all!

I finally got my pfSense install up and running thanks to the wonderful support of this community!

I wanted to see if it was possible to setup VPN on the pfSense and also have VPN on the Go?

I currently have SurfShark as my VPN provider. I wanted to set it up on my pfSense, use either OpenVPN or Wireshark to serve the VPN service on my home network as well as on the go?

I was able to set this up on my Pi-hole to block ads on my iPhones and access Pi-hole remotely.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

      Thank you!

You can run both VPN clients and servers at the same time, yes. You can route that traffic as you please.

Awesome! Pardon my ignorance but is there a guide on how to initiate a remote VPN connection from pfSense to a mobile device when out of the home network?

The connection would be the other way around, from a remote mobile device to pfSense.

Thank you kindly for the information!

I’ll give it a go, looks a little complex but I gotta learn one way or another!

              Best regards

Run the wizard to set it up, it's pretty easy. There are also video walk-throughs. Ours is here: https://youtu.be/jQHqPq7ftz4

                  Great, thank you!

I also made a mistake in my post. I actually mean Wireguard not Wireshark.

                  Hopefully the steps are similar.

                    :)

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
