Is there a pfsense planned features roadmap? I am wondering if there are any plans to add an API to pfsense?

I use ACME in pfsense, I also use haproxy.

I am wondering if there are any plans to add an API to pfsense?

I would like to be able to configure HAProxy via an API if possible, it would save a lot of time when I am spinning up new containers and services.

This has been discussed previously and it is on a number of posts in the past about a roadmap. It might be limited to only Plus, though.

Not able to comment on specific features, though.

I thought it had one already??

I got a great idea!! Maybe you could help out global cyber security in the realm of fingerprinting all the containers :)

We all know they have good containers and invasive ones.

The fingerprint database is pretty dated at this point.

            Check out this post :)

I think this is a question for development snapshots?

Not from us. Someone else wrote it, we don't support it, and it (AFAIK) has been broken for a few releases.

I should have been more clear when I said containers, I was actually talking about containers and virtual machines, which I serve via HAProxy.

Everytime I configure a new container I have to use the HAProxy web gui in pfsense, I do this frequently enough that I was wondering if pfsense had an API, which I now know it does not.

I like to automate things when I can, thanks for the responses.
