So I am in the process of setting up my router to connect to a Mullvad VPN wireguard connection for certain devices. I have everything set up for the connection and the devices using that connection. I was originally having it where after maybe 5 minutes of connection my DNS would die on me only for the clients on the VPN. Not sure if this is the proper way to do it but I just changed in "System > General Setup > DNS Server Settings" the dns server for mullvad (100.64.0.7) for my OPT1 that wireguard runs on, and then also changed "DNS Resolution Behavior" to "Use remote DNS Servers, ignore local DNS". Is that the correct way to do it?

Edit: after switching the DNS server, any client that is connected to the VPN still loses the DNS after around 10 minutes and cannot resolve any IPs.

Edit 2: DNS comes back online after a bit, its just a cyclical on and off of DNS working and not.
