      Hi, I am new to pfsense. I'm soon getting a full fibre (FTTP) connection with UK Cityfibre and want to use a micro-PC with PFsense for the firewall/router.

      It's fine with the suplier to use my own router but the instructions say 'If you are using your own router on our CityFibre service it must be capable of having VLAN tag/id 911 applied to the WAN port. The connection type is PPPoE and we will provide you with your login credentials'

      Do I just setup the WAN interface and also setup a VLAN with the appropriate tag?

      Sorry for a newb question...

        Yes, you would create a VLAN 911 on the WAN NIC and then create the PPPoE connection on that VLAN. Should work fine.
