      Hello,
      after upgrade from 22.05 to 23.01 I am not able to update any existing or install new packages. I get error WARNING: Current pkg repository has a new PHP major version. pfSense should be upgraded before installing any new package.
      Otherwise everything looks working fine.

      Could you help me?

      Thx
      L.

        @ladae

        You've set :

        fdb9eaa9-c128-4ac2-be09-ee5f8a724e82-image.png

        ?

        Check also : System > Update > Settings

        The thing is : 23.01 is "old".
        Current is 23.05.1. and that version uses a more recent PHP version.

        No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
        Edit : and where are the logs ??

          Jump to 23.05.1 now. There are MANY php-related errors in 23.01 that have been addressed.

            @ladae The above but by way of explanation, one has to upgrade to 23.01 before upgrading to a later version. The error message is protecting you from breaking pfSense; see my sig.

            Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
            When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
