      Hi all

When using the OpenVPN Client Export Utility with a custom DynDNS the Host name resolution combobox-value is empty.

It seems not possible to create issues on Github (https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/commits/devel/security/pfSense-pkg-openvpn-client-export)  ::)

Would it be possible to have the description used as fallback if host name resolution is not working?

      I've attached some printscreens  ;)

      Regards

Using the description as a fall-back isn't going to be viable, the package cannot rely on that being accurate or even a hostname. There isn't a good way to make that work for custom entries. You can enter the address manually in the export package and save that as the default for your settings in the export package.

Also, issues are created at https://redmine.pfsense.org/, not on github. See also: https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Bug_reporting

Yes, because there wont be any validation at all.

But an extra field for hostname in case of a custom DynDNS would be great.  ::)

Saving the hostname as default setting is a good workaround but the empty combobox-value is not really useful and not even valid if selected  ;)

Issues on redmine.. cool another account to create  :P
