    IPsec VPN between version 2.7.0-RELEASE and 2.4.0-RELEASE

      I'm trying to setup an IPsec VPN tunnel. Router 1 which is remote and I don't have physical access to is running pfSense Version 2.4.0-RELEASE. The system says "The system is on the latest version." I'm guessing I would need to re-image in order to get to 2.7 but I can't do that.

      I've tried getting an IPsec VPN tunnel from two different routers from two other locations (both running 2.7.0-RELEASE) and I cannot get it to connect. I've tried Key Exchange Version 1 and 2 on both sides.

      Are these incompatible pfSense versions to connect IPsec?

        Did you try to select a newer branch in System > Update?
