Hi all, the problem arises upgrading from 2.3.2_1 to 2.3.3, same from 2.3.2_1 to 2.3.3_1.  Rolling back to 2.3.2_1 (restoring vbox snapshot) all works well again.
      The problem:
the hosts in the section "Host overrides" are resolved only using the FQDN (i.e. nslookup proxy.itgnervi.lan), using only the hostname (i.e. nslookup proxy) doesn't work anymore.
The problem doesn't arise with hosts configured with DHCP (i.e. nslookup vito-pc works normally).

I checked System->General Setup->Domain (it is ok after upgrade) and tried forcing the domain name (itgnervi.lan) in Services->DHCP Server->Domain name (normally empty) without any change.

      N.B. I'm using DNS Forwarder

      Any help will be appreciated.

yeah they took out resolving hostname only without a domain.

Your clients need to use a fqdn to resolve what is they are trying to resolve.  Its possible your client is not using the domain you handed out in dhcp, or maybe they just had not updated their lease to get the info.

But yes you need to query fqdn to get an answer - my understanding this is how it is going to be going forward.  You should always query fqdn so not sure how this is a problem?
