My SG-1100 will not lease addresses out on the LAN interface (mvneta0.4091)I recently swapped my Ubiquiti Edgerouter-X back to my SG-1100. The device has been offline for awhile, but I was able to bring it back online. I got an updated IP from my isp without issue on the wan interface. Locally, I connected my Mac to the lan interface without a problem. I was then able to go in & update the device using the web interface upto pfsense 23.05-1. Currently there are no other device connected to the netgate. Basically a pretty simple configuration. What is really weird is that the SG-1100 won’t issue a lease an IP when my Mac is configured for dhcp (it defaults immediately to the apipa address. The other really weird thing is that if I statically set ip & dns on my Mac, I am still unable to route out to the public internet. I think I’ve been starring at the problem for too long & think it’s likely pilot error. Any recommendations for troubleshooting would be appreciated.

The common problem presenting like that is a subnet conflict between WAN and LAN. You may need to change the LAN subnet if the 1100 is receiving a private IP on it's WAN.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the response.mvneta0.4091 (LAN) shows up as 192.168.1.1
mvneta0.4090 (WAN) shows up as 108.56.xx.xx
This seems OK to me. Or, am I doing somethign really stupid?

That should be no problem for the 1100. Maybe your client is still connected to something else using that subnet, via wifi maybe?
Are you unable to reach the webgui at all then?
If you do set a different LAN subnet it will reset the dhcp scope and restart the service which may resolve any issues there.

Thanks Steve. I opened a TAC case & they were able to help. As it turns out somehow under the DHCP server settings, under restrictions "all clients" got disabled.
