      Hello
Trying to connect via Terminal from a computer A (And also from a VM C) to a raspberry B.
It works with a Raspberry D.
The Raspberry B is a new fresh install

My network is manage by a pfsense.
I am in the same VLAN

      Ping 192.168.0.B works
When I try ssh user@192.168.0.B I get the "password :" question

      • If I put a wrong password It ask again
      • If I put the good password depending the time I do it it can be stuck just after password, or starting with the "welcome message : Linux rasp-aqua 5.15.61-v8+ #1579 SMP PREEMPT Fri Aug 26 11:16:44 BST 2022 aarch64" and can block after some seconds... (rarely I get the prompt and can perform one "ls")

I have try to have a look on pfsense log without success
      try to deactivate PFBlockerNg
Try to add a Rules * * * on the VLAN

Any idea how to find what does not works ?

PS : When puting a keyboard and a screen on the Raspberry b all seem's to works....

@ewok2 said in ssh connection that close after login:

I am in the same VLAN

If your client and pi on the same network/vlan pfsense has zero to do with the conversation between them. Zero!!

If device 192.168.0.A wants talk to 192.168.0.B pfsense (the router say 192.168.0.X) is not involved in this conversation.. I doesn't even have a clue that they are talking to each other.

Traffic is only sent to pfsense (the router) to get off the network your on.. If say 192.168.0.A/24 wanted to talk to say 192.168.1.X then yes it would send that traffic to the gateway/router to get off the network.

          Thanks!!!

That explain other things I did not understand ;-)
I also try to stop some traffic between other device in the same VLAN (and of course it does not works)!

So only explaination is on the Raspberry... (Or maybe on the Wifi access point that is definitively between the computer A and the Raspberry ;-)
