Hello everyone, I want to change the hard drives of my pfSense server without changing the whole hardware and keep my configuration. (I have two mirrored hard drives by gmirror).

What is the safest/recommended way to do this?

I already know you can easily backup/restore configuration from the web GUI, but don't know if it works perfectly if I change the hard drives and reinstall pfSense restoring previous backed up configuration for instance.

I also want to know what it is like to backup my configuration and then restore it on a different machine with the same amount of network cards and hard disks.

      Thank you in advance
