I apologize in advance if this was posted in the wrong section or if it already posted somewhere.

      Setup:
I have an Xfinity XB7 Gateway in bridge mode connected to a Netgate 6100. My use case is fairly simple and I don't have a lot of packages and or complex config (yet). Recently after having the issues, I went to an extremely basic config of having no VLAN's present and just have the simple FW rules.

      Issue:
The Xfinity gateway goes offline every single day at about 4.00 AM and then comes back "on" in 5-10 minutes. I chalked it out to being an routine maintenance issue but it is happening every day and I don't think that it's right. I only know because my TP-Link Omada Controller tell me that it's offline (notification from the cloud to the phone). I have setup notifications on the pfSense via SMTP and Telegram. I don't get any notifications from it. How do I get a notification if and when the gateway goes offline and comes back online? I understand that if the gateway goes offline that it can't send out notifications but how about queuing alerts and sending them afterwards when there is internet connectivity?
Also how do I troubleshoot it? What should I look for in the pfsense logs to understand what is happening?

I've also noticed a weird observation that I was hoping someone would assist. When you initially get the gateway and power it on and register / activate, it gets an IP address in the 67.x.x.x network. So when you connect to the gateway and is acting as a router from a PC, the PC gets an IP address of 10.x.x.x. When I switch to bridge mode, the PC gets an IP address on the 67.x.x.x subnet. All good. However, when I eliminate the PC and connect Netgate 6100, the IP address is on a completely different subnet - 24.x.x.x. I've tried to release WAN (with relinquish lease checked) and rebooted the Xfinity gateway and it still is the same result. I have a hunch that xfinity system is rebooting the gateway so that it can assign the Netgate 6100 an IP on the 67.x.x.x subnet via DHCP. I maybe speculating this but how do I test that my theory is wrong? Any direction would be appreciated.

      Thank You for time!
