@chudak that you can not get to the site at all, or having problem logging in?
I have not been on the site in a long time, and my saved password wasn't working - but did a reset and got right in

What is that portal used for anyway?

I believe it use to be where you could download the images when you had a netgate appliance, etc.. But if you open a ticket with tac, this is where you respond, upload something etc..
Last time I was on was grabbing image.. I always grab a install image when new versions come out - just to have on hand in case the worse case thing happens, or if wanted to do a clean install like moving to zfs, etc.
Unless have need or have opened a ticket with tac, I don't think you need or would use it.

To request an image for your netgate appliance just go to the above link and fill out the form.. You should get a response in a few minutes..

@chudak did you open a ticket? Open a ticket first, this should create your account. If you tried reset your password and didn't get anything back that would indicate that email has no account. Opening a ticket should create an account for that email address.

It’s a little awkward way to establish a new account (unless I missed a write up about this somewhere)

@chudak back in the day you use to be able to "create" an account before opening a ticket, etc.. At least that is the way I remember it. You use to create an account when you registered your device as well, and then when they came out with new what was called FE for your appliances vs the CE.. You would grab them on your own..
So your all sorted then? I don't have any access to their backend, etc. So all I could really do is say hey its working for me, so prob not wrong on the backend, etc.
