Didn't think this worthy of a redmine feature request given how busy negate must be, but passing idea/request... Would be VERY nice to see the PD received via a given interface somewhere.

Beyond DHCPv6 debug and looking in the logs, it's hard to quickly glean what PD was recieved.

The client doesn't have a way to do that currently, outside of the logs. Believe me, if we could get that, it would make a lot of things much easier. There are multiple feature requests open on Redmine for behavior that are all blocked by not being able to easily determine the delegated prefix(es) from upstream.

Seems to me it would be easy enough to take a LAN address and then logical and with ffffffffffffffff::. You can even do the same for individual prefix IDs.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
          UniFi AC-Lite access point

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

If you know the delegated block size you can deduce the delegated address from an address within that block. However without knowledge of the block size you do not know the correct mask for each interface.

@jimp What kind of logic do you use for LAN IPv6 addressing tracks?

We don't apply any logic/code there because we can't -- the DHCPv6 client places the addresses on the tracking interfaces directly when receiving the delegation.

Have to chime in here on the value of this feature. I'm a bit confused as to the response saying it cannot be done, though. I am probably misreading that in the overall context. This feature is in OPNsense, so programmatically it can be done.
