After 2.4.09 upgrade will not startup

I have a 1100 model and after I did the 2.4.09 upgrade it's now asking for password. I am not about to get to the GUI. Showing date now of Dec 31 1969 and Amnesiac. It has stopped loading at the point of asking for an ID and password. How am I to reset this from here?

Quick help would be appreciated it. I tried pushing in the small button on the front to reset but that did nothing. I am now stuck on what to do next.

If it was running ZFS you can probably roll back to the BE snapshot from before the upgrade:
