Service Watchdog and Kea DHCP Server (kea-dhcp4)
-
If you use Service Watchdog and switch over to KEA DHCP, add the service kea-hcp4 to the services watched!!
-
You shouldn't really need to use that for anything except debugging. Are you seeing Kea stop running?

Don't understand what you mean to say Steve. What I meant is, that when you use service watchdog to bring op services that are somehow gone down and you have added DHCP server to watch and switch over to the new advised KEA DHCP as ISP DHCP is EOL, then you need to add the kea-dhcpv4 service

I understand. I'm just pointing out that, in general, you should not need to use the the service watchdog except when debugging some issue. So I was wondering if you had enabled it because Kea (or ISC dhcpd) was stopping unexpectedly.

@stephenw10 No, I enabled Service Watchdog, because very occasionally (I am a beta tester for pfBlockerNG develop) a service stops and as a courtesy to users, it will bring it up again and send me mail, so I can check out the cause.
