Hey i am running latest version of pfsense, but looking for a vpn solution that is handled by pfsense, that i can setup through windows network and sharing centre, so there is no need for 3rd party software, like pptp connections, i know this is insecure, thats why i want to see if there is another way, as i know open vpn you need clients like openvpn and viscosity vpn clients, any advice would be great!

Do you just want to avoid paying? Or not install additional software?

There are free (reliable) downloads available, depending on your OS.

Otherwise you may have an option for L2TP or IPsec depending on your OS version (my Windows version has an L2TP/IPsec option).

However, I would recommend OpenVPN for ease of installation/setup (client to server).

I had to accelerate my upgrade/replacement to pfsense, because iOS 10 dropped PPtP. Now that everything is in place, I'm very happy with the mix of OpenVPN/IPsec - never even tried the L2TP option.

If you post your OS version, I'm sure someone will assist (I haven't used my Windows VM in months…)

        Good luck

That's exactly how I felt, so was really p***ed when Apple dropped PPtP on the iOS 10 upgrade, as I used that for (emergency) remote access.
Luckily I got over that, as pfsense dropped it as well, just after I started testing!
