i bought 64gb usb 2.0 drive micro b to usb type a to use to keep latest backup of netgate 4100s,
Please confirm if this is correct:
I am putting it into usb mini slot in front of the rj45 which I am unplugging from my pc.
I have a copy of 2 different location configs.
what is the webbrowser command on pc to copy the backups I have on my desktop onto the 64GB usb 2.0 drive?
what is the webbrowser command on pc to copy 2nd backup file onto the remote netgate 4100? -
@june The normal process is to use the pfSense GUI to download the backup to your PC. Restores upload the file from your PC.
There are other options for installing with an existing config file but not sure if that’s what you’re asking.

@june https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/backup/configuration.html
Note if you leave the USB plugged in the 4100 it will read off that config on each boot: https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/backup/restore-during-install.html#restore-using-the-external-configuration-locator-ecl

Hmm, that's confusing
There is no USB-mini socket on the 4100. There is a USB-micro socket but that's for the serial console only.
It's not clear what you're trying to do here.
