I run pfsense CE 2.7.0 on two differnet machines and on both the Available Packages wont load, is there a known issue?
Tried to change the brench from 2.7.1 to 2.7.0 but it did not help. DNS checking from pfsense "DNS lookup" does resolve addresses so it not a DNS problem.

@alexhen Are you sure that pfsense devices do not have any problems connecting to the internet and are you using CARP?

          CARP

The pfsense is connected to the internet i preformed ping and traceroute and dns lookup from the machine itself and it resolved all the requests plus all the other machines connected to the pfsense lan are connected to the internet too.
And i do not use CARP.
I must add that this problem is occuring in two different machines running 2.7.0 CE that each machine is in a physical different location and different ISP.

@alexhen Did you see this in the release notes?
            https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/releases/2-7-1.html#troubleshooting

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

No i havent seen this but it did helped to solve this error and allowed me to update from 2.7.0 to 2.7.1 which fixed this problem permanently.
              Thank you

Thank you, the update from 2.7.0 to 2.7.1 solved for me the "no Available Packages shown / empty list of Available Packages" Problem.

(the command: certctl rehash at 2.7.0 did not helped)

@bippus Updating to 2.7.1 also resolved this for me as well.

I have also this issue with 2.7.0. Can't get available packages.
For now upgrade from 2.7.0 to 2.7.1 or 2.7.2 is not an option because pfsense device is 450 km away and in case it stucks while upgrading noone can intercept.

When I try to update repos from command prompt with "pkg update" I get the following:

                    pkg update
                    Updating pfSense-core repository catalogue...

                    Error updating repositories!

All of the URLs are missing a letter "v" before every "2_7_0". Tried to correct it in pfsense.conf file in "/usr/local/etc/pkg/repos" but every time it overwrote it.

I assume problem is on Netgate's side. If not, can someone lead me to right direction please.

@msurg I had a 2.6 installed and there was a package repos issue. So we upgraded to 2.7, but the problem persisted. Additionally, updates became inaccessible after the upgrade. Finally we did a clean install with 2.7.2. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any other way.

The rehash command linked above didn't work?

Suddenly "Available Packages" appeared. Nothing changed here.
                          Miracle???
