      I tried to upgrade my 7100 from 23.05.01 to 23.09, the upgrade window says failed, now the unit won't boot.

      Connecting on console it says:

      Booting from Hark Disk ... harddrive_index=0
      No /boot/loader

      FreeBSD/x86 boot
      Default: 0:ad(0,a)/boot/kernel/kernel
      boot:
      No /boot/kernel/kernel

        Was it installed as UFS or ZFS?

        Were there any errors during the upgrade other than the eventual fail report?

            Well the fastest way back from there is going to be re-install and restore the config. Open a ticket with us to get the recovery image:

                A 7100 unit has come available, am I right that these are now EOL and won't be getting future upgrades.

                  No, they will see updates for at least until 2024-12-14. See: https://www.netgate.com/support/product-lifecycle

                  But probably longer since they are x86 so should be supported without significant effort on any future build.

                    @stephenw10

                    Many thanks, will review further. It’s up for a fairly decent price.
